Hillman Grill

The food was tasty. The service was a bit slow, but understandable as there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. They host a meat raffle on Sundays at 2pm. The price per person ranges from $10 to $20. I would rate the food a 5, service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4.

On 1/13/23, my husband and I had a negative experience at this restaurant. The elderly male bartender was impolite and unaccommodating towards us. We had travelled by snowmobile from Wahkon to this location and stopped in for a drink. However, because we were not regular patrons, he did not offer us happy hour discounts. When I inquired about this, he rudely explained that we should have handed him cash or started a tab when we ordered our first drink. Throughout our visit, he made us feel unwelcome and even gave us a previously opened happy hour ticket that only gave us a discount on one beer. A young woman nearby mentioned that he is often in a bad mood. Despite our patience and politeness, we were not treated well at all. We have no intention of returning to this establishment, as the bartender seemed to only pay attention to his regular customers. This is completely unacceptable. In my opinion, he should be replaced by someone who values all customers. Frustrating!

The waitress/bartender was amazing. The chef cooked our pizza perfectly to our liking.

Great bar, friendly bartender. Had the artichoke/spinach ravioli appetizer and it was ok. The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing and the place was busy. Definitely will be back.
