Old Man Rafferty's - Hillsborough

Interesting restaurant. The food we ordered was the classic American.burger and Nachos, which seemed to be a disproportion to the atmosphere...not a bad thing, only interesting. We liked food and the menu was varied. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed our visit and would come back.

Earlier one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in the area years ago. Now that we're back, there's a good chance it'll be back. The new menu has some wonderful elements, the ever spectacular deserts are even more amazing, as individual cakes and our dinner was fantastic. Servers were clear!!! Thank you for making it a big anniversary dinner!

UPD: We ordered burgers again today and i am changing my rating to 4 star. The food was excellent, definitely the best burgers in the area. Also they changed their containers for burger toppings to clear plastic which makes it easier to check the quality. Got a moldy tomatoes with one of the burgers, looks like quality control issue. Good thing i looked at it before putting it on the burger. The burgers were good though, i wish i could give them a better rating.

For lunch had the seared Ahi Tuna in greens salad that was fresh and tasty, a few craft beers, and nice chat with the bartender. Quite a spacious place and an attractive outdoor seating area. Conversations between servers and patrons leads me to believe this is a favorite place for the locals. Only ask, if they haven't explored already, offer a larger variety of craft beers especially from local breweries.

I got a 50 yesterday. Birthday party here. The staff was very attentive and helpful, especially our server Lauren. She was absolutely amazing with a party of 25 people. She was at the top of all the needs, gave suggestions for guests who were uncertain what to get meals, and was a professional in the direction where meals went as they came out. She was so good that one of the kids asked where she was to make sure she could say goodbye before she left. Food was excellent, atmosphere was welcoming, and we will definitely be back in the future.
