Mullets - Hilton Head Island

I'm so glad we discovered Mullets. The food was fantastic, and being right by the water created a lovely atmosphere to end our day. It's definitely a family-friendly spot where the kids can roam around. Just remember to bring some bug spray! We’ll definitely return when we’re in Hilton Head Island.

I visited the food truck twice. The first time, we arrived expecting it to be open, but it was closed. We decided to wait, and about ten minutes later, two people showed up, followed by another 15 minutes of waiting. The fish tacos and fried shrimp were delicious, but the chicken was slightly undercooked; it was a bit spongy and had some pink in it. We ended up not eating it. On my second visit, we arrived when they were supposed to be open, but once again, no one was there. Two more cars pulled in behind us, and a man informed us they were closed due to rain. Are you serious? It's summer on Hilton Head; afternoon showers happen every day! During that time, with three cars waiting, they lost the business of 11 customers! We ended up going to Bistro 17 instead. If you choose to go, make sure you have a backup plan.

My new favorite restaurant on the island! It's picturesque, rustic, and hidden away, with outstanding service. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing. I can't stop thinking about their shrimp—it's been days, and I'm still craving it!

Our family group was impressed by the fried shrimp basket and freshly cut frits. Grilled fish tacos were good, but of atypical roasted flour tortillas marred; warmed maize tortillas usually superior. A traditional lime wedge with the tacos would also help. I look forward to trying a fish sandwich next time; looks delicious in the picture here.

Heard about this new food truck from a friend and decided to give it a try with my family. What a great time we had. The food was great and atmosphere was perfect, a real island feel. We order the fresh fish sandwich and fried shrimp tacos. Everything was AMAZING! Highly recommend this cute little dive.
