Contribuisci feedbackWe both had the catch of the day which was a sea bass which we had blackened. It was cooked to perfection and was amazing! It was a little pricy though in my opinion. I had it the way it comes with 2 sides and my friend had it on a Kale salad, so they were pretty flexible in prep options. We got there a little early and they gave us a choice to wait a few more minutes for outdoor dining which we said we were happy to do. It is always nice to eat outdoors and it was a lovely evening, but there was live entertainment and it was pretty loud but still nice music just hard to have a conversation. Overall it was a great experience and I would go again for sure.
My wife and I recently finished a week in HHI/SC, and I booked a reservation at the Quaterdeck as it was advertised as upscale. We were definitely overdressed for their interpretation of upscale. Having said that our waiter Lenert was OUTSTANDING, and saved the night with exceptional service!!!
The staff seemed reluctant to seat people outside during a sunset. It seemed implausible. I don't know if they were waiting for a tip or what... but there were people waiting outside... and we had a reservation. But still waiting there were only 5 tables out back facing the sound (because of social distancing) all empty... and they seated a couple while we were waiting who just walked up. We are owners and regular patrons made a reservation for my wife's birthday... but had to badger them to seat us before the sun went down. The waitress was kind... bartender was rude (we weren't the only ones who closed our tabs because he seemed so put out... and the drink was watered down). The food was exceptional. It's a shame... great location/view... spectacular chef... poorly managed floor.
Food was amazing. Calamari was tender and plentiful. Fried shrimp was cooked perfectly and crab cakes were delectable. All paired with a bottle of the Sea Pines Cabernet, and our dinner was perfect. There was live music outside which we didn't get to enjoy. It would be nice if they piped in the live music for the inside diners. Overall, the restaurant was amazing, and I would highly recommend.
We had a reservation for 7:15. We did not exit the restaurant until well after 9. Service was extremely slow. Cups were stacked on our table instead of being removed. We waited along time for dessert and for our check. Food was good but may not return with the family.
