Best hushpuppys ever the Jakezilla was amazing but honestly I would go back just for more hushpuppys

To be fair we did not have the highlighted meals, but our Turkey Pesto Burger, Shrimp, and Calamari were “okay.” Not bad, but not something I would return for, especially for the price you pay. The aesthetic of the place was cute though.

Salty Dog is a popular spot, and there’s a reason. It’s a great place to spend some time dockside with ok food and a good vibe. This time we went for breakfast at around 9:30am. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to get a table without a wait. At this point in the morning the menu offered only breakfast items, but there was a breakfast burger as well as breakfast oriented fish tacos if one felt more in the mood for an early lunch. We ordered coffees and juices, and the wait time was substantial and a bit annoying seeing as there were only about 4 tables being served. The food itself was standard breakfast fare. It was good, not special, and the portions were huge. The **** Mary was not that good, especially for the price. Overall, Salty Dog is worth visiting, but this is a beach bar, not a fine dining establishment.

Always a favorite on Hilton Head. Had gumbo and oysters- delish

Nice area to sit and see the water. Pre-made hamburgers are a pass on item. Very busy and decent food. Enjoy sitting outside
