Tank's Tavern - Hinckley

I have great memories of Tank's, burgers, wings and pull-tabs. Tank's is a must-stop-by place when traveling from Minneapolis to Duluth. Their burgers are plain, but tasty. Staff was very friendly, and we had good luck with the pull-tabs

This is just your typical small town dive bar. No taps, bottles and cans only. Pretty strong mixed drinks. The food is OK, it is all just frozen food I think.

Tank's Tavern just outside Hinckley was one of our stops over the 4th of July weekend. We needed somewhere close to the cabin we were renting and wanted nothing to do with the Casino. The burger was worth stopping for. With its vicinity to the Casino I would have thought they would have had more business. I will say they need to get something on tap and discover Craft Beers. Over all for an Up North Tavern I give it 3 stars but if you want a burger that does a fairly good job rivaling Convention Grill or Lions Tap make sure you drop in.

Burgers are terrific. Try the bacon cheeseburger with fried onions. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Their **** Mary is my favorite in the state and is served with a full 6oz bottle of beer for a chaser. The lack of tap beer is their only weakness.
