A hearty breakfast at a healthy price. We camped locally the night before and wanted a good breakfast before heading home. We checked out Trip Advisor and found that Caf’A’ had the best local ratings. We arrived within 10 mins and found a traditional roadside cafe, which was exactly what was required and we were not disappointed. The staff were quick to welcome us and take our orders. We both chose a medium breakfast and hoped it would look like the images attached to other reviews. It did, it hit the spot perfectly and didn’t break the bank. Full credit to the staff, they offer a no nonsense service that delivers good honest food for hungry travellers. If you’re in the area you should definitely pop in. There’s plenty of space to park in the lay-by.
We went to Caf A twice while staying in the area again this year for a music festival. Again food was superb, portions generous, and the people who run the cafe are so nice. If we lived in the area we’d be very regular visitors because this cafe is really exceptional. Highly recommend.
What a lovely surprise. Staying at the Travelodge in Markfield, we wondered where we could go for breakfast. We found Caf A about 2 3 minutes away. Compact cabin dining, the place is spotlessly clean. Very friendly welcome the lady running it was incredibly efficient and cooked up our order quickly. Fantastic food and plenty of it full English delivered on quality. Omelette with 3 choices of filling was cooked to perfection. Our dogs were welcomed too and given sausages for behaving well. And really good value for money. Would highly recommend this place as it’s a little gem!
We have passed this many times travelling to see our grandchildren but not sampled the food. This weekend we are staying at the Travelodge in Markfield so decided to pop along (3 mins walk) for breakfast, I had poached eggs on toast, hubby had a huge cob filled with bacon, tea and coffee and it came to less than £7!!!!!. It was very busy and the phone constantly ringing with orders, all food freshly cooked to order, they do 4 sizes of full English plus the usual snacks, light bites, cons etc. This is a brilliant little place that looks so small on the outside. Don’t drive past if you see it, go in for a bite to eat, you won’t be disappointed
