Camping Bankenhof - Hinterzarten

Very beautiful place! One of the best in the black forest. Staff nice and helpful. We're coming back, clean facilities.

After an initial problem on arrival with our bookings (which was quickly sorted in a very friendly way), this was a great place with excellent daily shuttle service to the circle, not as close to the route as some other campsites, but due to this...probably much quieter and safer. Despite the website fully booked for the F1 weekend, all facilities were clean and no queues to use toilets/showers. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Stopped here to be close to lake but it was a bit further than realised (short cut from site we were not aware of)... Good restaurant on site and not too large shower/wash facilities were excellent

We stayed her for a week and would thoroughly recommend the site. The pitches are nicely laid out with lots of hedging trees. Some are not overly generous so if you have a large caravan then definitely book in advance and check. The showers...were lovely very clean and enough so that we never had to queue. We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant on site (need to pay cash) and the shop was good for breakfast rolls. Fabulous location with lots to do in the local area.

The campsite was easy to find, despite there being a massive diversion around Lake Tittisee due to road works. I have camped in Germany many times, but have never before seen bathroom facilities like these-they are amazing!! They are obviously set up for the ski...season as well as camping. There's a lovely little restaurant and quite a well stocked shop. My only complaint is about the wifi. We were positioned right at the far end of the site, which was definitely the best situation as it was green and grassy whereas the others were all gravel pitches and extremely packed in, but the camp wifi, which I paid €20 for, didn't work that far out. My iPhone couldn't even see it, however my personal mobile wifi worked great. I would definitely visit again.
