Athabasca Valley Inn Suites - Hinton

This modest hotel in the little Albertan town of Hinton served us well. The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was tasty and reasonably priced. There is a comfortable lounge in the hotel or for music, food and a lively crowd there is a bar on site.The rooms and bathroom were clean and warm considering it was minus 25 degrees Celsius in the evenings! The beds had good linen, and the mattress was comfy. The small kitchenette and fridge were helpful. Steps away from the hotel, you can pick up some tasty beef jerky and candied salmon at the Yukon Sausage butcher shop. It's well worth it.

Was surprised to see they have smoking rooms! The young lady at the front desk was kind enough to switch me to one.Rooms: 3/5

Had half rack ribs stuffed Cheese potato veggies and vegetable soup delivery fresh and hot in a timely manner

Spend the extra few bucks and go up the road to a clean hotel. I don’t think this hotel should be able to give people rooms that dirty. Very old and outdated. Smells like cigarettes, no lights, floor is crooked and the bathroom and sheets were very dirty.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, the worst I've encountered in my 17 years in Canada. The bathrooms were in terrible condition; the fixtures were outdated and in dire need of replacement. The water temperature was inconsistent, swinging from too hot to too cold, and there was little to no water pressure in the shower because the knob was malfunctioning. It seems the owner is more focused on profits than on providing the quality of service that justifies the prices charged to customers. I can't recommend this place. It's worth noting that the sanitary fixtures in the restrooms seem to be over 100 years old and definitely require an upgrade.
