Känsla - Hjo

Nice place and good food. A place I would recommend if you're looking for a nice place to eat.

We were happy that we 've chosen Känsla for dinner this evening. Very welcoming atmosphere, staff very friendly and attentive, even checked with us if everything is ok. We chose the thousand nights dish (falafel with pita and dips) and the pork chop with mash potato dish. Both dishes had fresh ingredients. Juicy falafel, well cooked tasty meat, excellent mash potatoes with cheese, really special. Both dishes though were lacking something fresh that would brighten them up. Tomato salad as a side would fit both actually or asparagus in the second dish. It breaks my heart to not give 5 stars to this restaurant but both dishes were a 4, with very small changes it would be perfect. Would certainly try it again when we visit Hjo!

A wonderful evening The welcome was very friendly and cordially. Chef Carolin Gültling has put together a varied and fine coordinated Menu card. The type of each dish is very creative. The Menu card is clear, in a positive sense. The food here is really fresh according to the season. Our group; a nice couple of good friends, my husband and myself chose different main courses with appropriate wine accompaniment. A pleasure for the eyes and the palate. Fine aromas and great ideas surprised us very positively in every aspect. The quality of the food was very fresh and delicious. I had chosen the dish „Arabian Night“. The five different Dips served to the savory chickpeas balls was each a real experience in itself. My husband enjoyed the Swedish rainbow trout. The lemon risotto with it was light and intensive and complemented the tender fish fillet perfectly. It was exceptional and delicious. Congratulation to the kitchen. The very good corresponding wine recommendation accompanied the meal perfectly. The service was very attentive and friendly. It went very smoothly and competently. The ambience is very tasteful due to the suitable interior design. It is modern, yet cozy and lovingly furnished. I really appreciated the attention to detail. The atmosphere and ambience in connection with the attentive staff invites you to relax. The visit to Känsla was a great experience. Känsla is definitely an asset to Hjo and the surrounding area! We want to say thank you for an all-round beautiful evening at this extraordinary nice location and we are looking forward to come back again. Maria and Manfred

Superb restaurant right in the middle of Hjo, the Caesar salad was excellent but the absolute best was that dogs are allowed in the restaurant as well as out on there patio! My dog even got served water at the table! BIG thumbs up!

We had a few different dishes and enjoyed them all. Service was attentive and good, particularly from the owner. Will definitely return
