Really tasty vegan com chay. At only 25.000 Dong too! Not sure of the opening hours. 109 Nguyen Thuong Hien, P. 5, Q3
Standard local com chay restaurant. The shop is newly converted so it’s new and clean, as is the food cart. The food is ready cooked as normal in a com chay. The food is decent and they have breakfast style noodles with small spring rolls in the morning as well as rice. There are some soups that are prepared to order. Take away and limited seating inside and you can park motorbike at the front. The owner speaks enough English to answer questions. 20k vnd for breakfast noodles or com chay so the usual price for this kind of place. Updated from previous review on 2019-11-17
I'm fairly sure that this is the cheapest vegetarian place in the area even if it's not the best. So far I've only tried the cơm (rice), not any of the noodle soups. The serving size isn't that big and the quality is unexceptional, but the price is very reasonable, particularly considering that it's close to District 1 and the War Remnants Museum. Things to note: there is no parking, only about 5 seats, the staff don't speak much English, and they seemed a little grumpy to have us there. This is not a westernised or fancified restaurant, it's the authentic local experience!
