Zeytun - Ho Chi Minh city

Service was good, but eating terrible (what does not look like the profis uploaded btw). the hummus was watery and blande and the vegan moussaka was actually just salty tomato sauce with aubergine and chips that were thrown in, no middle eastern aroma at all. would have been a great pasta sauce, but was absolutely not middle eastern at all, and the soggy chips in it instead of the actual kartoffel were unpleasant. would not be disturbing if they want proper Arabic cuisine, I was in other far superior restaurants in hcmc like al sham.

I had a messa platter. the hummus was in order. the Pita bread was the worst, but in all fairness the falafel was pretty good. it cost me 150000. - as steep.

Id already in this restaurant in hoi an and knew that they had vegan options. this time I have the vegan tagine (drawn vegan on the menu! that came in a big tonpot with a good amount of rice and delicious fluffy pitta! my friend had the falafel wrap (swap mayo on the look for hummus, which was also a really good size and delicious! very affordable (tagine worked as less than £3,50!

Had a lovely meal here with my wife. The lamb shish and the Adana kebap were both so tender and well seasoned. The khatchapuri and the ayran were just perfect. Will definitely visit again.

I’ve lived in Saigon for almost a year, always wanted to visit this place but never had a chance. Went there today, and I hate myself for not trying it sooner! I said “omg it’s delicious” a few times while eating, and when we left the restaurant. I am a vegetarian, and Zeytun has quite a few vegetarian and vegan options, and they are absolutely delicious. The prices are not crazy at all, 100 k for Tajine I had. Falafel was quite big and only 69k. The size of the portions is pretty big. The waitress was really friendly. The place doesn’t look too comfy though, but the food won me over so I didn’t care about the way the restaurant looked. I’m definitely coming back! Oh also if your order is more than 100k for one person you can get a free coke or a dessert :
