After reading some very impressive reviews about this restaurant, I went there this afternoon with my wife for the yamsjagd. the location and the building were impressive, with a lot of parking. 6 other cars in the parking lot were the first signs that I might have made a terrible mistake, but I thought that 12.30 clock was a bit early for the locals. in the inner was a table of 7 and another table of 4. the order from a photo menu instead of the trolleys coming, was the next sign that this was not really the experience I had imagined. the Chinese tee melted and tasted like water, but I was through the waitress sure it was jasmin tee. Eating well, but is it worth waiting?. eating is good if they have the geduld to wait almost 2 hours for the main course. to the happiness there is a pool table to happen some time, but the log fire is inactiw and with the curtains open and only old electric heating to heat the tables, it can be a protracted experience.
Terrible service and maintenance of waitress. eating was marginal. the service was absolutely atrocious. the waitress was hot and patient. this is the worst experience we had in a restaurant. avoid it when they can.
Not my cup of tea. We decided to try this restaurant as we are new to Tasmania from Queensland, and am on the look out for nice places to continue our weekend yum cha traditions Although at writing there was nothing wrong with the meal offered, I don't think it quite lives up to the reviews I have read on the internet The first warning sign was walking in to an empty restaurant.
