Normally, I avoid fried foods, but their fried fish is an exception; it’s not greasy and absolutely scrumptious. I haven't had fried fish this good in a long time. During my next trip, I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, and oh my gosh, it was amazing! Shelly, one of the sous chefs who works culinary magic there, prepared the Philly in a Texas style using tortillas and grilling them. It was sensational street food! She loaded it with plenty of cheese and onions (no skimping here!) and added jalapenos upon request. I couldn't finish it all; it was the best thing I’ve had on a tortilla in ages! And then there were the ribs—oh wow, they were fantastic! I ordered the rib plate and was blown away by how smoky and tender they were, practically falling off the bone. I ended up purchasing extra ribs to take home. Shelly and her pitmaster, Jeremy, really know how to deliver; I was thoroughly impressed. Jeremy is also becoming quite the social media whiz, working on building their Facebook page and planning to expand to Twitter soon. They also serve excellent burgers, which is next on my list to try. Just a heads up: the ribs aren’t available every day, so it’s a good idea to check their Facebook page or call ahead. However, the Philly, quesadillas, burgers, and fish fries are always on the menu. Shelly mentioned they’re open for lunch from Tuesday to Friday, 11 AM to 3 PM, with dinner on Friday evenings from 5 PM to 8 PM. This truly is the best "slop" I’ve ever had!
The food is overpriced and you could make a better version at home. Paying $7.00 for a BLT? No thanks! You're better off grabbing something from the gas station across the street.
