Mariscos Nayarita - Hollister

Two days ago was the first time in this place. But It is absolutely not the last time. We had great time with the generous service, with the exceptional cuisine and fine drinks and with the honest charge. We will absolutely come back again.

Food was good except for those chicken nuggets. They tasted like cardboard. Service was okay. Waitress would only check on us 1 or 2 times on us

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant in May 2021, enjoying delicious fresh fish tacos and a great Bloody Mary for a late lunch. The ambiance on the secret back patio was fun, with plenty of shade and wind protection. The patio is currently being developed with good efforts, and there is also indoor seating with good ventilation thanks to an open wall to the outdoors. The owner was very helpful, offering many choices for payment including Venmo. Plus, the staff is bilingual.

I would not recommend going to this place. Despite advertising seafood, they really do not specialize in it. It would be more accurate to say it is a Mexican restaurant. My husband was quite surprised when they brought him a full fried fish, including the head and tail, instead of the tilapia fillets he had ordered. We also tried to order a dozen oysters, but they were out of them, which was disappointing on a busy Sunday. The hot sauce is incredibly spicy, so be cautious. The lack of customers may be due to the poor service and food quality. I may consider giving them another chance if I find myself in Hollister again. Additionally, it was strange that they offered us crackers when we ran out of chips.
