Black Bean Cafe - Hollywood

4 in for dinner on a Thursday at 6:30. Not very busy. Had to ask for hot bread. 1/2 pitcher of Sangria 7.50 Too sweet, not much wine flavor. Skirt Steak with beans and rice and sweet plantains 13.95 very good. Roast Pork with beans and rice and sweet plantains 8.95 Good but a small portion of pork compared to other restaurants. Shrimp in garlic sauce with beans and rice and sweet plantains 12.95 Good but needed more shrimp for the price. Overall, a good place to eat and the service was good. As others have said, this restaurant looks better from the inside than the outside. We will go back.

Excellent authentic Cuban cuisine! Don't let the area fool you, it's not the most scenic of places but the food is hands down better than the other upscale
