Derry's Family - Hollywood

When the waitress finally attended to us, she was friendlier, which was a relief. However, the seat in our booth was torn, and the outside surroundings looked quite dirty. The cleanliness of the area around your business needs to be addressed. Great food is important, but it isn't enough to make up for the lack of good service and atmosphere. Some customers might be satisfied with just the food, but we believe improvements are necessary. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This restaurant is a MUST visit when visiting Hollywood Florida. We get tired of the resort food and always find local soul food. This was our 3rd visit. Will definitely return. Full review on our youtube DAVIS314

I'm not sure how I stumbled upon Derry's online, but I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell the food would be amazing. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was laid-back, and the portion sizes offered great value. The food itself was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning and will spread the word to our friends and family in the area!

Food used to be good grits was cold fish was horrible not even season.. they gave me a broke plate with my toes

Some days your food is amazing, while other days it's just okay. The grits can be incredible when they're preseasoned, but other times they're just plain, and while I know salt and pepper are available, it's not quite the same. The brown gravy also varies; it's usually good, but sometimes it's too thick and rich. I really love your food, but if you could make it consistently delicious, that would be wonderful. I've also been waiting for the chopped steak patties to return because today the smothered pork chops were almost too thin, and I’m still hungry.
