Houlihan's - HOLMDEL

We have eaten at Houlihans many times. The meat we have ordered and enjoyed is the Rosemary Chicken with mashed potatoes and string beans which have been excellant. Mothers days was terrible, I made reservations and expected a good meal of the Rosemary Chicken. No Rosemary chicken so we had grilled chicken which was very dry and tasteless. I do not think we will be going again. As the manager said due to corporate that will not be on the menu.

Waitress was terrible. She came to our table 10 mins after seated. She took our order. She forgot the drinks after taking them 30 mins prior. Food came to the table after waiting an hour. We ate. No refills. Kids got adult drinks due to no kid cups cleaned. She came to the table to provide a bill. Charged for kids meals and adult drinks. We had complained about the drinks. She changed the bill without being apologetic. Very unhappy. Kids did not get apples or yogurt. Kids did not get dessert. The other waitresses we're very attentive to their tables. We just got a terrible one. Sad because we love coming here.

Houli's has been a long-term favorite of ours, always love the food and drink whenever we go there.

My mother and I ate there tonight. the service started well, but gradually became poor. the food was good. But when we asked for paper napkins, we have 4, which is not many. obviously they were counted carefully. at the end of the meal we ordered dessert and coffee. Mom's decaffeinated coffee arrived in a cool cup and was tepid . (mine, what was regular, was hot she pointed that to the waiter who said he would replace it, but then he was busy with other tables, so then she just ate her dessert without the coffee, and she would have removed it from the bill. She wasn't happy. he was long gone before our neck was picked up. she mentioned him again about the cold coffee and he offered to replace him, but it was very late, and she told him we wanted to go home so she could watch the Yankees game. Why should she wait long after dessert for coffee? we didn't tip him, which is very unusual for us. the other thing we noticed was that there were several young women standing around and not doing much while our waiter covered all these tables. was someone responsible? we haven't seen a manager.

They enjoy lunch the bartender / server, joe was great (as usual eating was delicious and prepared for our request.
