Maybe I got it on a bad night, but I don't think the chef could find India on a map. just cleaning.... Updated from previous review on 2012-12-02
We had plenty to choose from. We had dosas, and they were delicious!! Will definitely go there again!!
I tried the samosas, vegetable Khorma, and vegetable uthappam. Very good.
I visited here on my own. It's December so the area isn't too busy and I was the only one in the restaurant. I told my server Brendon that I am vegan and he immediately went through with me what was available. I told him I love chickpeas, something saucy with spinach and vegetables. He said they will come up with something and asked how spicy I like it. Unfortunately the samosas and onion bahjis are cooked in fryers with meat so had to pass on those but had the curry, plain rice and a garlic naan. The curry was incredible. I found the vegan options in the area to be limited so it was refreshing to have a lovely meal. What was the highlight of dining here was talking to Brendon. We discussed lots of environmental issues and society..... I was glad it was quiet because the conversation was engaging and stimulating. I feel there could be more on the menu for vegans because let's face it, it isn't actually that difficult to omit dairy and animal products without providing fantastic taste to a menu. Nothing pleases a vegan more than having to spend time to choose a meal because you're spoilt for choice! I would recommend this place.
Always a good meal and great service. Been going for years when my parents are down for the winter.
