Johnny's - Homewood

I was hungry as a teenager. I ordered the chicken pancake and my wife ordered the pot roast. I had the spring bakers and roasted green tomatoes. Everything was wonderful. I am picky on fried green tomatoes, so I was surprised that they are as good as they are. I loved the chicken pancakes so well I forgot to offer each of my wife. To be fair, she forgot to offer every pot roast. None of us could end what we offered. We went through and had no way to take over the rest. It hurts to leave it there.

Home cooking. I had beef steak with gravure and onions, roasted green tomatoes, Parmesan Gritcake, field peas, corn bread and sweet tea! Yummy. Good portions and served hot and fast!

Great place for a hot house cooked meal. The staff was great and the orders came out pretty quickly. The macaroni and the cheese were amazing! Unfortunately, we were unable to try the chicken pot cake because it sold out; it must be good. Nevertheless, the cook and the hard-working employees complement.

In the busy lunch break we appreciated how the owner and the cook needed time with our table to share funny facts about his recipes and local finds. It was obvious that he really passionate about what he does and shows the food / service quality!! Thank you for such a great experience.

SO GOOD! Words cannot describe the deliciousness, and the friendly atmosphere of Johnny's! Let me just say, we came for lunch. It was so good that I ordered everyone something else to have for dinner tonight too. Look no further, the decision has been made. You need to eat here!
