You are right by the old custom house and harbour, picturesque and good for people-watching. The service is attentive, the food good and the portions on the generous side. (full admission, we always have moules frites, but the dishes others are having also look good.)
We enjoyed the most delightful lunch at Le Vintage Cafe on our pass through Honfleur! Super cute restaurant & great vibe! The service was excellent, and the food and wine delicious! We absolutely loved the croque-mosieur, salad & French fries. Highly, highly recommend! I would be remised if I didn't mention how cute & charming the town of Honfleur was! Wished we had more time to explore as it was one of the cutest towns in Normandy that we had a chance to stop at!
Great live band on Saturday 1st July. Great food too. Very pleasant staff. Band did all contemporary covers and did three sets.
Stopped here for lunch whilst following a walking tour of Honfleur (map obtained from the Tourist Office). There was a quirky retro vibe by way of decor and furniture throughout the cafe. Enjoyed a Croque Monsieur which was served with a generous portion of chips and a nice side salad. Washed down with coffee and a jug of tap water. Other meals served to neighbouring tables looked equally impressive. There were plenty of wines and beers available. Also available apparently are cocktails and tapas and occasionally live music. Service was friendly efficient and prompt. Toilets on the first floor (accessed via a tight spiral staircase) were clean and pleasant. There are also more tables on the first floor.
I have never met such a rude and arrogant barman as the one we found in this bar. We were a group of 12 golfers, so our value to the bar was potentially good. The first night we spent there was fine, because there were a couple of very pleasant girls working the bar, the second was a different matter. There was a little man with glasses and a fashionable moustache working the bar who was rude, antisocial and arrogant. we were made to feel positively unwelcome. We spent the rest of our time and money in The Café Paris across the road.
