Honokaʻa Public House - HONOKAA

The restaurant has a genuine saloon atmosphere and offers excellent customer service. The menu reflects considerations from the pandemic era. I missed the hamburgers, but I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious pastrami sandwich!

The Pastrami Sandwich exceeded my expectations—it was amazing! The rye bread was perfectly toasted, and the sour wort was exceptional. It came with a sauce and horseradish that really elevated the dish. The atmosphere was cool and casual, and the staff were incredibly friendly.

Used to be good for takeout pizza... but then they started cutting cost... I hope they fix this... $26 for a Pepperoni pizza with 4 pieces of Pepperoni cut in quarters and scattered .... to be fair they refunded this pizza... but the next few I ordered, I had to remind them to put more Pepperoni on it.. and it was still sparse... please fix this! Update: after quite a while ordered another. There's almost enough Pepperoni now... definitely not what it was before the pepperoni issue...but quite a bit better.

It was basically the only thing open in Honokaa but good service, pizza is not bad, we ordered their spiciest one and it was just generic vinegar hot sauce spice. Pizza is not special but good value, and American portion sizes. We had a pizza and greek salad to share.

I absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic, especially the Philly steak and cheese—it’s incredible. It’s also very kid-friendly.
