The ambience is casual and place was hopping with tons of Japanese tourists. Make sure to make reservations or you'll be waiting a long time. We ordered a bottle of Silver Oak Cabernet and enjoyed every sip of it while tasting the cheese and calamari. Great wine menu although mostly bottles are served and not many by glass. Hubby said the old fashion here may have been the best one he's had. I had the Tagliatelle Pomodoro $33) which was the fresh pasta with shrimp in a creamy red sauce. Absolutely delicious and very filling. Other dishes like the carbonara $35) came with thick slices of guanciale and a pretty egg on top to mix in the pasta. The egg yolk just flowed right into the pasta and the salty creaminess of this carbonara was divine. Another friend ordered the fish Branzino $41) and it was a light dish with capers, and multigrain rice underneath. I liked it and if you're looking for something light and healthy, that's the dish to go with. The server Thuy was excellent. Very attentive and even brought my husband a tiramisu since it was his birthday. We had a lovely dinner her and will definitely be back when we're craving Italian.
What a great spot! So busy, so make a resy if you can or be prepared to wait. Came here for dinner with my wife, and kids ages 14 and 18 as we were on spring break. The place is hoping and the service was great. We sat outside and our server was friendly and offered advice on places to see in the area. We skipped appetizers as it was late, but my wife and I had some delish glasses of vino. The bread and oil at the table was a perfect precursor to what would be a great meal I have the pasta carbonara and it was ridiculous! ' The egg portion of the dish was my favorite as I got to pierce the egg as the yolk drizzled into the pasta and bacon. So good My wife had the risotto and the best part is that they mix it in a cheese wheel at the table. So yummy. My kids split a margarita pizza and loved it. Really great place to catch a meal and have fun. Go. Here. Now.
Arrived at 8:25 for our 8:45 reservation for a table for 2. We were seated at 9:15. Ambiance is fine. Service is good. We shared two apps Carpaccio di Capesante was very, very good in all aspects: concept, preparation and presentation get high marks as well as being very yummy. Arancini were good: a nice treat, but nothing over the top. We ordered a pizza each: pizza tre porcellini and owner's favorite. Pizzas are a touch large for a single person serving, but half a pizza would be on the light side; accurately portrayed by our waiter. Tre porcellini [meat lover's] was good, but nothing special. The owner's favorite is intriguing, but fell a little short of my expectations. Although, both were great leftover!!
Date night gone wrong! I am vegetarian and currently pregnant, and was hoping to find some good options for dinner and dessert.... Nope! If your vegetarian, this restaurant doesn 't cater to you, and if you 're vegan then run as far away as possible! Our waitress was amazing though! She gave us all the info we needed. The soups contain Chicken broth, so they 're not vegetarian. There were 2 vegetarian salad options on the menu. She also said that we could get any of Pastas but substitute the meat/seafood for mushroom/broccoli or other veggies. We got a Tagliatelle with Alfredo sauce, broccoli and mushrooms. It tasted okay-ish, needed a tad bit more salt and a lot of pepper! For dessert, we wanted to get the Orange semi-Frodo custard, but it had alcohol it 's apparently burnt off , but I 'm pregnant and couldn 't take a chance). Other option was the gelato. Overall, not going back and wish I 'd gone elsewhere tonight :
Came here for a friends bday it was yummy. Ambiance is cute, we sat outside, definitely had a reservation, the staff was very friendly professional. All the staff greeted us as we walked in! It's a good spot if you're in Waikiki you like Italian food. Validated parking available at hotel. Nice food presentation small fancy portions. They brought our friend a complimentary bday desert which was nice. We had spaghetti alla carbonara, risotto ai funghi (I was a little sad that the risotto was slightly undercooked. , insalata mista, insalata con rucola e prosciutto, zuppa di aragosta.
