Flour Barley – Brick Oven Pizza Waikiki

I've been in flour barley many times and always enjoy eating. at this recent visit, however, the service was quite slow when we arrived, but soon a woman came to the table and apologized for waiting. she is the manager and was called because they were short on the waiting staff at night. that is dedicated and shows that they are ready to go the extra mile. her name was mimi (I believe) and she was exceptional! it was a great evening.

Great eating and good service except we feel taken from the top. we were a party of six and when the bill came a 18% tipp was added, but we did not notice and over 20% more tipped - a $169 meal with $70 of tipps. two problems: – should the server not have noticed and have said something (we would have left them a little more) when a party of six instead of 8 or 10 has started to calculate an automatic satisfaction. we tap more than 20%, but rarely 40%. auwe! also no kama kamboaina discount mentioned.

The location is perfect, big parking, not so expensive compared to other places in waikiki. a few minutes from the beach. the restaurant is located on the 3rd floor, and the view there is amazing. they can see all the buildings, busy road, and a summit of sea eating is amazing, waikiki price though. Please make sure that they are during the happy hour, same service and eating, much more affordable price, and much more quiet dining room.

Wonderful staff! every employee we met was friendly, patient and attentive to our presence and our needs.
