Fort Ruger Market - Honolulu

I have lived in Kaimuki my whole life, but it took me 24 years to finally try the long-standing Ruger Market, and now I regret waiting so long. This place is a gem.

I finally visited the Ruger Market after living my whole life on this island! It's a small mom and pop shop in Kaimuki, and it offers all the nostalgic flavors of home.

My grandparents have been coming to this place since they were kids, and they brought me here to Roogah Market for the first time. They always referred to it as "old but good."

The front of the restaurant has limited parking and there is no dine-in area. However, the Lechon was delicious! My rating for the food is 5 out of 5.

Poke was alright but overall a very niche market spot. Cool to visit but prefer others!Food: 3/5
