Ginza Bairin Hawaii Tonkatsu And Yoshoku Bistro

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the location was great. My only minor complaint is that it felt a bit too bright; I would have preferred a slightly dimmer ambiance. Otherwise, the meat was perfectly crispy, and the side salad was fresh with plenty of dressings and sauces. The curry was also incredibly flavorful, even better than what I've had in NYC.

The food was outstanding. We were seated earlier than our scheduled reservation since we arrived in the area earlier than expected. Our server was very pleasant. Everything about the food was impeccable.

Even though the special cuts #1 and #3 were sold out, our meals were still fantastic!

This needs be a tourist's destination stop when in Oahu. I've been trying to come here for years but either the timing wasn't right or there was no reservation when I wanted to go. Finally Finally got the last time slot on New Year's Day 2024 at 2:15 pm. YES!!!! This is why they are always booked. Their sando was mind blowing delicious. The mustard inside had a bit of horseradish spread inside. The katsu fried to perfection with a nice thin panko batter. The bread. OMG the bread was nice and chewy, cut into 4 slivers. I loved this sando, which wasn't even mine to begin with (my DD) that I came back the following night AFTER dinner to order another one, to go. Yes, it IS that good. Okay, onto MY dish. Pork Katsu Curry Set. Get the set. It's worth it! The cabbage salad was finely julienned and chilled making it so refreshing. I love the sesame dressing the best. The rice and miso was piping hot. The katsu had a juice crunch to eat bite. Service was great! Highly recommend to make a reservation

Had reservations still waited 25 minutes service was slooow, waited another 30 min to get food, But as always, delicious food!
