Contribuisci feedbackWe stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, drawn in by its inviting exterior, and decided to give it a try after enjoying some Yawacha. To our delight, we learned that the same owners ran this place, and we were excited for another culinary experience! The food was straightforward yet exquisite, featuring perfectly cooked fish. The manager really made our dinner special; he crafted a unique dish and demonstrated impressive knowledge about the food, which was a true pleasure! Overall, it’s a fantastic spot with wonderful decor, and coming from London, UK, I must say it was worth every penny!
Where do I even start? Food is beyond amazing and service is great! Our waiter was very friendly and informative. We ordered the California Toast, Oyster which you can choose either East or West or both, Tuna Tacos, Ceveche Tostada, and their signature dish which is the Octupus with spicy buffalo sauce. I won't go into details with the price because my boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves and made our anniversary memorable.
Buffalo octopus and oysters on the half shell are a must have!! Very friendly staff, 1 man acoustic entertainment while we were there that was great to listen to, and great atmosphere.
We are really happy that we chose Herringbone to celebrate Father's Day. The wonderful Ambience, service, and food....everything was perfect. Honestly, when I tried to get reservations (5 weeks early)we tried to go to a Kahala restaurant ...completely booked. So I called Halekulani....also completely booked with 60 people on a wait list. So I googled and researched...stumbled on Herringbone Waikiki..and got reservations for 6. Good for me. Next time...we know where to call. Herringbone Waikiki
From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly accommodating. They greeted us with genuine smiles, which showed they enjoy working at Herringbone. Our server, Amanda, was exceptional. She struck the perfect balance of kindness, entertainment, and knowledge, all while allowing us to savor our experience. Alongside her team of server assistants, culinary students, and bartenders, she was attentive and well-informed about the menu. The food, which is the highlight for me, was divine. Each dish was beautifully presented, and the portion sizes were generous. The whole lobster, priced at just $35.00, was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The tomato and burrata salad featured delicious tomatoes that are hard to find in Hawaii, and the burrata melted in the mouth as it should—absolutely no salt was needed. It was clear that the chef prioritizes high-quality ingredients and lets their natural flavors shine. We also enjoyed the catch of the night: opakapaka (pink snapper), which was perfectly fried and easily fed both of us. Overall, Herringbone provides an unforgettable dining experience that I highly recommend.
