Contribuisci feedbackWe made a reservation through a travel website's app, and we were surprised that there were no other Japanese people there except us. I went there because I wanted to experience what a Hawaiian sushi restaurant was like, and I was even more surprised to find that the quality was almost the same as in Japan. It was an original experience that successfully combined the techniques learned in Japan with the Hawaiian food style, and I was able to spend a valuable time that can only be experienced here. If you have any friends who are going to Hawaii next time, I highly recommend them to go!

10 years ago, my boyfriend and I began our sushi counter journey and it all began with Chef Ray. Throughout the years we have followed him from restaurant to restaurant. We are sad to say this was our first time at Hihimanu and we are disappointed in ourselves that we didn't visit sooner. BUT, we are already planning our next visit and plan to bring more and more guests to experience his craft. Lunch was $175/pp for 15 courses. Be sure to be on time because the show doesn't start unless all reservations are seated. Lunch is great because you can add on items after the like A5 Wagyu, Nodoguro, Amaebi and more which are items that are featured on the dinner menu. We did and it was phenomenal!!! Drink sake! Everything on that menu has been hand selected by Chef Ray himself. Anyways, if you were thinking about it...just do it. Book your reservation NOW!
