The Chinese food here is excellent. The service is decent. It's a small space with limited seating, accommodating around 16 people at most.
This is my go-to spot for food in Chinatown, especially because it’s one of the few places on the island that serves Singapore laksa. The restaurant has a dine-in option as well as a take-out window at the Mauna Kea Market side, and I really appreciate its simple, no-frills Chinatown vibe. The staff are friendly and accommodating, but be prepared for slower service since they tend to be quite busy. There are plenty of options to choose from, and the portions are quite generous, so I recommend sharing an entree. The restaurant has only five dining tables, but you can also grab your meal to go and enjoy it at the picnic tables in the Mauna Kea market. I usually order the seafood laksa ($14.99), and today I also tried the butterfly pea lemonade, which was very refreshing on a hot day.
