Pioneer Saloon - Honolulu

My father visits the mainland. I had Mochiko Chicken, he had Creamy Cajun Shrimp. Both meals were excellent portions and the quality was fantastic. We came around 1 in the afternoon, and there were several customers eating, but no line at that time. I would definitely recommend my friends and I will be back in the future.

Great restaurant in SALT that serves delicious, flavorful, and hearty plates. Pictured are the Chicken Katzu (with mac salad and rice....side of curry) and Chili Tomato Fried Chicken (mac salad and rice). Definitely a BIG portion and zero room for any sort of healthiness. Quickly prepared and picnic tables located immediately outside to eat on site. They serve some local beers and have many different varieties of seafood and meat options. Looking forward to trying some other menu items!

Happy hour 2-6pm. I love their Shrimp burger and fries so bad. always get this set when I come here. It takes pretty long to serve food, so when you are in hurry, I don't recommend here, but their food is delicious basically.

Quick and tasty. The pork Katsu was well cooked, juicy and crunchy.

This is one of my favorite spots to grab a quick lunch. This is a Japanese owned place, so the food brings me back to my time in Japan. I love the nanban there, but the ebi katsu burger is delicious, the butterfish is good, everything is good. If you are in a hurry around peak lunch time, it would probably be best to order over the phone and pay when you arrive. It does get quite busy. They have Orion beer on tap, so if you're feeling like a cold one, they have it!
