The dining experience was amazing, as was the atmosphere. Mayumi provided excellent service and made sure we were always well-fed. Each dish had a unique broth and the Elfenbein dish was particularly amazing.
Two of my friends and I arrived at the restaurant early in the evening on Thursday. There were already two other groups dining, so we attempted to sit at the large table.
I went here from Waikiki and thought that the prices were below $10 for ramen based on the old menu, but discovered that the prices had risen. (I have uploaded the new menu prices for your comfort). I ordered the black toncatsu rays that had fine indications of garlic throughout the broth. The noodles were cooked and the egg. Also tried the gyoza recommended in the reviews. The filling was delicious, but I was disappointed to see that the gyoza was soggy and not crispy. Also ordered the roasted rice, which was quite good! The flavors were very well balanced! My wife ordered the spicy tantan wheels and it was very reminiscent of Dan dan noodles. Overall, it was not a bad meal. There are only some improvements that need to be made to make this a visit! You will not be blown away from meals here, but you will not be disappointed either!
It is definitely not the best ramen in Hawai'i as everyone pleads, but it is quite good, though overpriced by the hype
