Dale's Southern Grill - Hoover

While I ran some supplies in Birmingham, I was looking for a non-chain place to eat. Dale?s looked interesting online so we decided to give an attempt. It was a busy Sunday dinner and there was a waiting period. The hostess invited us to sit at the bar without waiting. Jason took care of customers at the bar while he answered the phone and prepared the orders. I'm not sure how long he worked there, but he killed it! There were several elements on the menu that I wanted to try, but decided for the chicken fried steak and was not disappointed. We look forward to returning to the Birmingham region.

I brought my husband and my daughter to the Father's Day and to her birthday here and everything was as the reviews said! We didn't want to wait for us to sit, so we sat at the bar. I loved that I was able to feed all three of us for under $100 and that the duck comes with 2 pages and your choice of bread! Everything was good, hot and filled! I have a new place now! We have the same kind of food here that we ordered at another steakhouse, but price cheaper.

I love this place. It?s close to where I live, always fresh, great service? only one concern THE FLOORS ARE WAY TOO SLIPPERY!! Sorry y?all but it really does concern me. I?ve seen 3 people slip and fall. And it?s just a bit too cramped in there. I go there to eat and to visit with friends. Fried green tomatoes are pretty good and I could have a plate with just sides. ?

I stumbled upon this restaurant and I'm so glad I did! My experience was fantastic! The food was delicious—16 oz of prime rib, 14 oz ribeye, and a 9 oz ribeye, along with shrimp and grits and grilled cheese for the kids. The sides included okra, mushrooms and onions, authentic cornbread dressing, squash casserole, bananas and strawberries, mac and cheese, plus goldfish and grapes. I will absolutely return!

For the first time here. My husband had the liver and said that was good. I had the steak and that was less than good. Very thin?ribeye? and was cooked as desired for medium. I ate it only after adding A1 sauce and less than half of it. The fried green tomatoes were good. The baked potato was good. The squash, not so good. Bonus added: they serve beer. Will we be back? No. But if you like livers and onions, it's your place. Just get the squash and don't forget the beer! The server was very nice.
