We stayed here for lunch on two separate days, because no beer was open at noon. The food is good, not amazing, but definitely good. The outer area brings it to a notch. Plus faster service. You also have a few games and books. Plus a changing table in the bathroom. Excellent beer!
My husband and I came to lunch on Sunday, July 10. We were the only other table in the restaurant. I order the Fig and goat cheese Burger it was **** in the middle I wanted to let her know, but the young Gale never came to check from us. 29 min not a check in her was at the checkout talking to the employees others and said loudly, she wants to close her by 2 instead of 3 because she did not want to be here. I went upstairs and asked for the check, because he had no intention of coming back to our table. Nice place, I hope she won't ruin your restaurant. I have stomach cancer, so I don't have boiled foods I have explained.
We try to visit Hope every year, so we keep in this restaurant for lunch, I prefer a good cup of soup to warm up, a good sandwich and water. But this year 2022 I asked about. We also visited the art booth (I think is a nice Ukrainian lady of the owners), which supports local artists and sells their art. Please stop and visit this small town, enjoy a meal and shop in the store?
Everything was fine until it wasn?t. It was a beautiful sunny night and me and my girlfriend decided to eat out on the deck. Shortly after we started eating our dinner a live band was playing music in the background at a near by stage. We both finished our dinner and decided to get dessert. When I went inside to order dessert I was told If I was going to be on the deck I had to buy a wristband because of the live music playing. I told them we were already seated and eating dinner before any music was being played and that we just wanted dessert to eat and we?d be on our way. I took the dessert and went outside to the table and sat down. Shortly after someone who worked there came out and told us we had to either move inside (there was basically no room it was packed and hot) or buy a wristband to be outside on the deck. I told them we had already been out on the deck eating and was not told any of this when we first ordered our food and sat out there. They weren?t having any of it and said those are the rules. Instead of letting us eat our dessert and then leave they basically kick us out of there and were very smug about the whole situation. That?s absolutely no way to treat paying customers if you want there business in the future. Unfortunately after this whole situation unfolded I will never go back and support Creekbend Cafe and urge others to please take your business somewhere else where you won?t be treated like dirt. Id expect something like this to happen in Anchorage but not small town Hope, very disappointed with the outcome.
