We opted for the vegan Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious. The dessert options were limited, but the elderflower sorbet was a standout. Be sure to request tap water, as we unknowingly received expensive bottled water imported from Italy for £4.50. Despite bringing this up with the staff, the charge was not removed from our bill, so I had to deduct a star from my rating this time.
This restaurant offers a slightly upscale pub lunch experience with elegant white napkins. They have a variety of delicious vegan options, and we tried the vegan version of the traditional Sunday roast dinner called the Mother Rose, which was absolutely fantastic. The dessert options were limited but the sorbet was a delightful choice. We were surprised to be served expensive bottled water from Italy when we asked for water, which added to our bill. Although we were hoping for a discount when we raised this issue, it wasn't given, so we deducted one star from our review.
This restaurant offers a more upscale dining experience compared to your typical pub lunch, complete with elegant white napkins. The menu features a variety of delicious vegan options for the main course, including the nut roast Sunday roast dinner which we found to be exceptionally tasty. While dessert choices were limited, the elderflower jelly with sorbet was a satisfying treat. Unfortunately, we were served bottled water from Italy without requesting it, which ended up costing us £4.50. Despite bringing this issue to the staff's attention, they did not remove it from the bill. Due to this inconvenience, we have deducted one star from our overall rating.
