K'Afe D'Aida - Hopelchén

K'Afe D'Aida is nice resting place in the city of Hopelchen. It is situated at the corner of Calle 20 and the main square. The place is clean and well furbished. Food is simple, but well-done. Ideal for lunch after visiting Edzna. If travelling with grown kids, I also recommend visiting the nearby caves of X'tacumbilxuna'an.

Cute little cafe on the nice plaza in Hopelchen, a perfect stop between Edzna and Uxmal ruins. Decorated inside with art and movie posters, not the usual roadside cafe in Mexico!Local breakfast and lunch dishes (especially the chilaquiles), plus a variety of coffee and tea drinks. I usually stick with traditional food and drink while travelling, but couldn't resist a mocha frappe, pure heaven on a hot day!And the owner is pretty heavenly herself...;-)
