What happened to Giacomo’s??? I decided to have Giacomo’s after moving out of the area for 3 years. I remember it being the go-to place for pizza especially the thin crust. I walked in to pick up and at the counter were 2 unpleasant workers that obviously did not want to be there. Seemed like placing an order to-go was an inconvenience to them. The “Manager” was on his computer at a table and the only one who seemed to be putting in work was the one man in the back boxing the pizza. Not even a greet from anyone. A very unwelcoming environment.Unfortunately, the thin crust pizza pie we ordered and boneless wings were terrible. Honestly it was probably one the worse pizza we have had.The boneless wings were extremely hard to the point where you could not stick a fork into them. After taking a bite and cutting into a few of them we noticed that they were all crust with zero meat and heavily salted to the point where we had to throw them out. We have never seen boneless wings with no meat. Needless to say we actually got food poisoning from them and shouldn’t have taken a bite after not being able to stick a fork in them. You can tell something was off.The thin crust pizza was mediocre and lacked flavor. The cheese was burnt and it just did not taste right. The sauce was placed on top of the cheese with most likely a spoon and was cold. It was not even close to the pizza we use to love.We were very disappointed. A once great, friendly go-to pizza place that felt like family years ago has gone completely down hill. It’s a shame and due this experience we will probably never order from Giacomo’s again. After talking to friends and family they all mentioned how Giacomo’s has completely gone down hill throughout the years to the point where they aren’t even a relevant pizza place to the area anymore. What happened?
Ordered a chicken parm sub with a slice of fried eggplant. It ended up being around 17 dollars and the sub consisted of maybe two slices of fried eggplant, and maybe half a cutlet sliced up to be stretched across the sub then covered with sauce and not much cheese. It tasted okay but they must've substituted chicken for eggplant and then had the audacity to charge extra as if they were doing me a favor.
The pizza is actually pretty good but with so many other choices around the area with bigger and cheaper slices I can't see myself going back here. The price is too much for something too small.
Great spot, very good food. Highly recommend the spicy chicken slice, it's top notch.
