The May Garland Inn - Horam

Decent little pub. Good pint of cold Heineken in the sun!

We gathered here after a service at Wealden Crematorium, as it's only 1 minute down the road. The owner made the whole event so easy for us he accepted our booking at short notice, the space was clean and welcoming for our guests and he even gave us access to the kitchen and everything we needed to serve some food. He made it super easy for us to play live music. Nothing was too much, he was just helpful. It felt very down to earth, local and family orientated. Highly recommend and a big thank you!

We were very disappointed Firstly they did not have any record of our booking they did find us a room. It was very cold, 4 times we told them , they did eventually get the heating working After another few hours still cold No food available on the premises. We were told if we wished for a drink we could get one only while the wake was still in the building as they were only open for the funeral . We did not stay any longer so had to find somewhere else for the rest of our honeymoon.

Service was good but most lagers were out and all ale taps were only for show.

A comfortable friendly place to stay. Owner friendly and helpful . Basic but clean and everything you needed.
