The restaurant always serves fresh food with a great variety. My go-to for takeout is the chicken skewers, but the salt and pepper fish pieces are also tasty. After 3pm, all items are discounted for takeout, which is a nice bonus. This hidden gem is located on the ground floor of the Westfield shopping center in Hornsby, making parking easy.
Formerly known as one of the top places for lunch in Westfield Hornby, the food at this restaurant has become increasingly greasy and has strayed from its original Japanese style. The customer service is subpar, except for the long-term staff members who provide exceptional service. Unfortunately, the new staff members can come across as rude at times.
My previous review (2 years ago) was very positive but it's all different now. Had Chasyumen ramen which tasted like stock powder stock and the pork was like old shoe leather...not tenderloin like it used to be. I've given this place a couple of goes recently and it's consistently bad, new owners I guess, as the staff all speak Cantonese including the cooks.
Right in the hear of the ground floor at Westfield, Hornsby, this place does a roaring trade, because everything is fresh. We particularly love their chicken sticks but everything is good
