Contribuisci feedbackDecent bbq. Ran out of chicken but gave me extra pork. Brisket was burnt/dry. Asked for a few different bbqs only received one. Packaging was poor. Grease from meat soaked into fried okra and left it mushy. Over all okay
Wanted something other than fast food after a trip to the VA clinic in MB. Saw that they were open and stopped. Such friendly people! And the pulled pork was so good! I got hash and rice, not knowing what to expect. I had never heard of this dish. Spicy, but really good. Research showed me that this is a local SC dish traditionally made of leftover pieces of the pig. I did not get a liver or head cheese vibe, so it was probably made with leftover smoked meats. Hope to return soon!
It's a shack. It has limited days and hours. Maybe you've driven by it a hundred times. And it is all carry out or delivery. But, you need to give them a try. The food is great, prices fair, portions generous, and the people are awesome. The pulled pork is great as is the chicken. They were out of brisket. The ribs are very meaty. I preferred mine a bit more grilled style but they are hard to find. Anyway, theirs had a very good smoked flavor. We sampled three sauces and all were very good. I will admit I've not been a fan of SC mustard based sauce but loved theirs. I thought the baked beans and green bean side could have used a little more attention but were still very good as was the Cole slaw. Hard working folks that do it right so stop by.
So glad I stopped the food and service was great. I had the pulled chicken tried without sauce great, but the sauce takes it to the next level. Yum The owner was friendly and share information about the area, as I am looking to relocate to this area. I will be returning for sure.
Understated when you arrive to pickup but very good and prompt.
