There were ducks and catfish swimming in the water right in front of the railing. The server was great; the caprese appetizer was really good, as we're the burger/fries and shrimp. It was very laid back and not at all stuffy atmosphere-wise. We would gladly go back there to eat again.
Food was ok, but the service was awesome! Nisi (not sure about spelling) was so incredibly helpful. She saved us leftovers so we could take the kids to feed the catfish perch, turtles, and ducks after we ate. Even the big kids, mom and dad all enjoyed it!
Gone twice in last month by boat. Service by host and waitstaff excellent and attentive. Drinks were cold and good. Food served in about 20-25 minutes (reasonable time). Food is good, fresh and correct temperature. Family had wings, fried green beans, salads, pasta and burgers. Will be regular stop on Lake LBJ.
We boated 45 minutes from Kingsland two days in a row to try this restaurant out. Both days walked in the door and greeted by a woman who literally barked at us. Her ?can I help you? was in the tone of ?what do you want?. It literally startled our group. First day we arrived after closing time. Okay I understand. Came during business hours the next day and got the same rude, bark of a greeting. Oh well. We went elsewhere to spend . Clearly Forno?s did not need or want it. Sad because it could be a great lakeside stop.
The food was good but the margaritas and service were excellent! We were a little disappointed by the smaller lunch menu though. I ordered a seafood salad and my husband ordered the catfish, fries, and coleslaw. I loved the resteraunt's location.
