I had the most delicious vera lynn cream tee. the skorn was huge and tasty with freshly dipped saw and jam. we have always thought about it and have never dropped the high standards. Today we went for the Sunday karvery, from which the booking is highly recommended, and I can see why. eating was just like cooking my mom and we had a real old fashion dessert. it added everything to bring happy memories back to my childhood. that must be one of my favorite dinners in norfolk, without doubt.
We brought my nan here on her birthday not knowing it even existed, and found this little gem. We love it so much we would come out of our way to visit again. Lovely staff, amazing cakes, authentic surroundings and treasure trove gift shop upstairs. If you haven't been I highly recommend paying a visit and you will return for sure x
What a lovely place to come. Great 1940’s experience and friendly helpful staff. All our food was fresh and homemade. Our kids and dog was very welcome too, our dog Flo was even given a dog biscuit when she came in. Will definitely visit again
Payed Poppylands our first visit today, and it certainly won’t be our last, we booked afternoon tea and it was amazing !!! We couldn’t eat everything so it was packed into boxes for us to take with us.Darren and the staff made us very welcome , and the place is really lovely, loved the little gift shop upstairs, Thank You to all the staff, you do a great job and I look forward to returning, very soon
We've driven past before but this time under recommendation we knew we were going in! The 1940's theme is fantastic and as you walk in there are a few displays which are great and then into the main cafe which again is just fantastic. We were greeted by the owner Darren with a welcome smile and asked to take a seat. We were then greeted by a lovely lady in 40's attire to take our order. The food was great and plentiful, service was second to none. All the staff were courteous and had a smile. Upstairs is also a gem with more seats and a wee gift shop. We will be going back and would highly recommend a visit to Poppylands.
