3 of us plus 2 hounds)met up here for a late lunch, e.g. 3 fab omelettes. Always greeted with a smile when we've visited this visit was no different.... Thankyou see agy you soon ..
I took my granddaughter to have afternoon tea with Santa, the staff were very attentive and service was spot on. The afternoon tea was very tasty and quantity was more than enough. When it was our turn to see Santa, the grotto was very festive. Santa was very good, and the gift was also very nice. All in all I would definitely recommend the tearooms to anyone. Well done Riverside.
Arranged for a friend's hen to take place here for afternoon tea, first time I had visited after so long driving past. The whole afternoon was lovely, cosy atmosphere with the log burner and views of the river and hills, Food was delicious, we all had varys of savoury and cream team, all the food was lovely and fresh and the scones were amazing! Staff were lovely and accomodating and allowed us in early to decorate a bit although the venue is lovely and wasnt really needed very reasonably priced also. Will definitely be coming back, thank you!
Me and my girlfriend have been coming here for ages now, since we first dropped in to try it out. I can honestly say we have never had any issues with the service, food and drinks or Frankie and her lovely crew. I think anyone who puts in a poor review without speaking to the staff about a problem, should maybe just stick to MacDonalds or somewhere similar. We've tried lots of different meals, at different times of the year and day and have not been disappointed. For the people who moan about it being pricey? I'd say in the current financial climate, you'd be hard pushed to find somewhere cheaper than here, except maybe a burger van or Mac D's. So if you want somewhere nice to sit down and have anything from tea and a cake, to a full meal with dessert, we would recommend Frankie and her team. Oh, and we drive about 45-50 minutes from home especially to go here, as it's worth the trip. Bob p.s. The boat hire is good fun too. Just look out for the people who ignore the speed rules as soon as they're out of sight!
