One of our favourite restaurants in the Azores. The staff are particularly friendly and the food is incredible. There is a selection of brunch and ‘light bites’ options (including a mix of veggie and non-veggie options) and a selection of main meals that vary from day to day, but are always veggie and, based on the three times we ate there, always delicious! There’s also an entire room devoted to their tea selection, and sitting outside in the beautiful garden was a real highlight of our trip.
We were looking for something a little different for lunch. From the street, Casa Teahouse doesn't look like much, as all you can see are walls, but inside? Different story. The tables are set up in a wonderfully natural setting, with trees and plants growing all around. Our server was attentive, and spoke great English. We had sandwiches and dessert, all of which were very good. The prices were quite reasonable. I've been to Faial before, but never to this restaurant. Horta is rather urban, compared to most of Faial, and Casa Teahouse was just a perfect spot for a mid-day repast. We will be back.
O ambiente é agradável (ficámos no jardim), já fora de horas podemos almoçar. Sem pressas em ser atendido e servido. Para dias de calor, apropriadas sombras, a comida aceitável, destaco os sumos naturais.
A pretty, peaceful garden to enjoy a light lunch. Good vegetarian options and a lovely selection of teas. Staff seemed a bit hassled even though it wasn't too busy. The resident cat is v cute!
