What a delicious surprise! in the smallest village of Switzerland tastes one of the mighty tastes. we had three different sections, all of which were delicous. they even served applicants hard to get even in disguised. recommend to stop and see and fool. what the village has to offer.

Hospental: placed in a really excellent environment on Swiss alps. it is really an intense immersion in nature and landscape, and it is nice to be caught in a place where the view is lost in beauty. this pleasant restaurant is located directly in front of the city, at the beginning of the road to furkapass. it arises in a small village: only a tiny amount of houses, but suggestive and especially. we came there during a rainy day. When we arrived there, rain was quite intense. but also the mountain is shocking with rain: it is another type of suggestion, but it is suggested. we came there at 14:40 a.m. and you like to enjoy the spirit of the world beyond the alps: you can eat whenever he wants, if he is hungry, and not only in a selected time, at least in the afternoon. when we came, other people eat and we were welcome. my friend, a woman from lugano, wore with her a pretty big and sweet dog, a cross between a golden retriever and a labrador. she asked if dogs were allowed. the owner, out of an open smile, answered affirmed. for all the time we stayed there, she was full of attention for dog, wearing dog biscuits and a bowl of water. that is so beautiful to see this attitude and behavior towards animals. it is the mirror of behavior towards men! So we've been greeting each other and we could come in. the place is in a typical mountain style: warm, welcoming, with lots of wood around. we sat in front of a table and the menu was put in our hands. the menu, which is also available in the Italian language, shows a large selection of typical oriented, from mountain tradition: steaks, fry and a large amount of rösti, a typical German dish, made with kartoffels, differently shaped. I chose a day manu, with a typical salate and a not well identified dish. but for what I could understand fro-menu, I was quite dressed. my friend decided instead for a rösti, and exactly for a äumer rösti, but she also decided to an salat because, she said, salad sauces in the German Swiss are really tasteful!. to drink, I dedided for rivella, a typical Swiss drink, with milk serum, my friend, held for a mineral water and a glass of red wine. my friend was right on sauces! after a short and pleasant waiting period we received our salat. really delicious, and sauce was really remarkable! and after salat it was the time of the main courses. my court fulfilled every expectation. it was assembled with a piece of pork roast, a brown and tasty sauce, a kind of potato croquette with cheese and a sweet. my friend rösti was especially nice to see: plentiful, good looking, literally covered with molten cheese. it was so plentiful that my friend was not able to finish her court, and decided to put what she could not eat in a small bag to be tasted this evening or the day after. I finished my court, but I understood why people are talking about full dishes: they are really like that! we decided to stop and ask for the bill. it was coming. the amount was not high, we remember in Switzerland, and the rate of change with euro is not so favourable. so, my menu was 25,50 francs (approximately 19,32 euro,) my half a liter rivella was 4,90 francs (approx. 4 euro.) for my menu I spent 30,40 francs (approx. 25 euro). for the menu of my friend: a rösti at 18,50 francs (approximately 15,21 euro,) an salat at 6,50 francs (approximately 5,35 euro,) a mineral water at 3,90 (3,21 euro) and a glass red wine at 3,60 (2,95 euro) the total amount was 60,90 francs, about 50,1 euro, average 25 euro for everyone. considering where we are, the not good exchange rates, the quality of food and the dimensions of our portions, it is a good price. in the meantime, the sun was born out of clouds and when we came out, we could enjoy a pleasant sun. they illuminate this really excellent place. we have said to the smiling and friendly owner a good look again, and I think it will be a good bye, because I think it is a place to remember the place around gotthard. a welcoming place, with a friendly and smiling owner, where dogs are welcome, and, I could perceive, loved. in a really wonderful environment. it's all like you're suggesting a stop here. I think they'll enjoy rest and swelling here.

Serve traditional eating, well prepared, this little restaurant has a lot of character. the owner and the team are very friendly and helpful. a good place to stop eating when they explore the beautiful landscape around others.

Simple but good kitchen.Excellent salad plate, fresh and quality products.Very good and excellent onion sauce. I recommend for a small stop on the sunny terrace after the beautiful pass of the furka.
