Bailey's Dairy Treat - Hot Springs

We recently came across an article in an Arkansas magazine featuring Kat Robison's book, *Arkansas Dairy Bar: Neat Eats and Cool Treats*. One of the highlighted dairy bars was Baileys, so we decided to check it out during our recent trip to Hot Springs. Located just half a mile from The Arlington Resort Hotel Spa and downtown at 534 Park Avenue, Baileys is a classic milk bar with an open-window concept and a simple interior. They have a few picnic tables for seating. The owner, Lien Moephew, was incredibly welcoming during our visit. The burgers and fries we ordered were fantastic, and we also tried a vanilla milkshake, a root beer float, and a vanilla ice cream cone. Everything was wonderful. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely a place you shouldn't miss!

The owner is always friendly, and the food is consistently hot and fresh! He ensures your order is ready and waiting for you, or he'll accompany you as you place it. I love the variety on the menu and the high-quality ingredients. The butterscotch milkshake is my absolute favorite! I highly recommend stopping by—you certainly won't regret it! The prices are affordable, and the service is exceptional. This is the perfect mom-and-pop spot you're looking for in HS.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best Americana restaurants I’ve ever been to. The burgers are outstanding, the onion rings are incredible, and the décor feels like it’s been transported from another era. It's the kind of place that would have inspired the food scenes in American Graffiti—George Lucas should definitely come here for a burger!

This is my new local place for food, good old homemade cheeseburger, beef or chicken fried rice, but come hungry. I highly recommend the banana split that comes in a cup. The next time I am in Hot Springs, this will be my first stop to eat. The kids liked it as well.
