The buffet for dinner was absolutely marvelous. The food was cooked to perfection and the favor was fantastic. As for the service you could not ask for better and with piano playing in background made for an evening to remember
I really hope the renovation comes with a complete overhaul of this restaurant. It 's historic and beautiful but has become notoriously awful over the past 7-8 years due to poor service and low food quality. Please resurrect this once majestic restaurant and make it a great destination again!
It has been many years since we visited The Homestead. We have fond memories of meals in the Dining Room. The room itself is still stunning. The service was wonderful. The food was good. We got steaks, shrimp and grits and trout. The meals were tasty but very expensive/over priced. We missed the band that used to play during meals in the 1980s, 90s and 00s. Back then the dancing after dinner was so much fun. Its sad that is no more. The servers were wonderful.
Very disappointing. Food served was not as described on menu. Ceaser salad had store bought stale croutons and drenched in store bought dressing. Not worth the price. $350 for a family of five.
