Zack's Bbq - Hotchkiss

We ordered the French dip, ribs with beans, onion rings, and a three-meat platter with mac and cheese. The service was incredibly friendly and quick. We visited on a Saturday night, and we had no trouble getting a table for five.

This is the best Texas BBQ you'll find outside of Texas! While it’s not on the menu, I tried the burnt ends and they were incredible. The Chicken Fried Steak is one of the best I’ve ever had. Once you step inside, you'll notice all the fresh pies, so make sure to save room for a slice! I'm not usually a dessert person, but if I’m in Colorado, I’ll definitely grab a piece. The owner is always around to greet guests, so make sure to say hi!

The staff was incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. We started with the chicken and rice soup, which was delightfully flavorful. The beef patty, freshly ground each morning, was seasoned to perfection and really enhanced the natural flavor of the beef. The potato salad was fresh and quite delicious! The brisket sandwich was cooked exceptionally well and made our mouths water just by looking at it. It came with crispy sweet potatoes that paired perfectly with the sandwich. Although it's a bit off the beaten path for most capital cities, it's definitely worth a visit.

All 5 of us had something different, from the ribs chicken fried steak, to the chef salad cake. All inclusive service was excellent. I recommend Zac's and will definitely stop when I'm in the area.

Great place to eat. The service is great and the food is wonderful. We drive a hour to get here, well worth it.
