Ambassador - Houghton

Food was great as always. Can't go wrong when you combine Mexican food and pizza to get the Quesadilla pizza. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should. Appetizers was garlic bread with buttermilk ranch dressing to dip it in. Yum!

During our visit to Michigan Tech, we found ourselves dining at The Ambassador two consecutive nights because we enjoyed it so much! We sampled three different types of pizza, meatballs, a sub, and a variety of mixed drinks. If we return to Houghton, I would definitely choose to eat there at least once again. We looked at a few other downtown options, but one restaurant had issues with their taps, and another was too expensive.

Don’t be afraid to order a fishbowl! The pizza is delicious- loveeed the crust. It gives classic vibes which I loved! Employees all appeared to be college students. Food was quick to come out. Looks like they do a lot of take out and it seemed to be very efficient.

This place truly lives up to the hype, as it's been recommended by almost everyone I asked. I enjoyed a pizza and some drinks, and everything was just as I had hoped. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, even offering suggestions for snowmobiling in the backcountry. Thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Italian Wedding Soup—it was absolutely delicious! I appreciate that all the soups are made from scratch. The meatloaf sandwich was fantastic as well; it was so big that I couldn't finish it, so I took the leftovers with me. The beer was served ice cold, which was a nice touch! The bartender and server was friendly and shared fascinating insights about the restaurant's history. I highly recommend visiting this place; the interior is stunning!
