Chequers Houghton Regis (hungry Horse)

We went out for our son's birthday dinner today and enjoyed a lovely meal. Fortunately, the restaurant wasn't too busy, which was a nice bonus. We had the roast beef, smashed steak, the quadzilla, a small burger, and a small pizza, all of which were delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and polite. Overall, we were very satisfied with our meal today.

I made a last-minute reservation for a large table a few weeks ago, and I couldn't have been happier with the service from the management and staff. The food was fresh, delicious, and served quickly. The staff was attentive, and the establishment was spotless. The bar staff were efficient and managed the busy bar exceptionally well. I believe people should take a moment to move past their previous perceptions and give this place a chance; it has improved tremendously. It's wonderful to have a family-friendly local spot again, and the restrooms were clean! Kudos to all the Chequers staff for their remarkable turnaround – it's incredible what they've accomplished in such a short time! X
