I'm sorry ihop, but wh down the road is much better.
Waitress was wonderful talk to my Autism grandaughter had so much patient loved her she has a child that has Autism I wish more people would have patience she was awesome and was very good at her job
Was a line waiting to eat, went quickly. Got to table within 20 mins of showing up. Service was quick and food was fast. Hash browns was alittle underdone but the pancakes were great.
We visited after 6pm on Sunday and it was empty. We actually thought it was closed because, from MLK, we couldn't see any parked cars and the restaurant windows are very tinted so we couldn't see any lights. Regardless, we decided to drive. Once we got to the parking lot, we could, faintly, see someone's head. Because it was empty, the host seated us right away. Our server came almost immediately but she never introduced herself. With her expressionless face and monotone voice she asked for our drink order. Then, upon our request, she gave us more time to decide on our meals. Once she got our order, it took longer than I expected to get our meals, for an empty restaurant. There was a couple that walked in after us but Im pretty sure that was it. It could have been the cook taking long OR our server who was chatting away with others, on the other side of the restaurant. All i know is that our meals were not hot, but warm/almost room temperature, when we got them. When the server brought us our meals she asked if we needed drink refills and that was all the service we got from her. She did not return until it was time to bring the check. Even when she brought the check, all she mentioned was the fact that we could close the sunscreen/blind since the sun was coming in. We agreed but she kept standing there. So my husband decided to close the blinds because it was like she was waiting for us to do it. Once my husband was done, she left the bill without saying anything else and left. Luckily, we didn't need anything else, but I was rather disappointed at her nonchalant behavior because the other server on duty (the one attending the couple, was doing her job by coming around every once in a while to see if they were still fine). The meals were good but i was not impressed with the kids silver 5 dish. The pancakes were very miniature (see pic). This was our first time here, in years, so im not sure if this is how miniature they normally are or if they made them extra small because the kids eat free between 4pm-10pm. I remember the pancakes being bigger. Just for reference, we went to an IHOP in Texas, a week prior to our visit here, and the silver 5 pancakes were about 3 times the size of these. Again, not sure if it has to do with it being a free meal or if this is normally the size. If this is normal then I might have to start getting my 7 and 10 year olds an adult meal. Overall it was just an ok visit. The only reason i would be willing to come back is because I observed the other server do a much better job than ours. This gives me the hope that it is an individual server, that lacks customer service skills, and not the mass.
